

The Peace Garden Mural Project Bios
Jennifer Levine is an experienced educator and artist who has worked as a classroom teacher and school administrator for over 20 years. She received her BA from the University of Massachusetts, studied at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, and is also a graduate of the San Francisco School of Circus Arts. Most recently, she was the Director of Education at Temple Sholom in Scotch Plains, NJ. She is a 2013 graduate of the Leadership Institute - a three- year professional development program sponsored by the Jewish Theological Union and Hebrew Union College.
Her recent mural commissions include giant murals for The Merrick Jewish Center, The Montclair Community Pre-K, Glenfield Middle School, Bradford Elementary, Arts Unbound, and a set piece for Luna Stage (featured in the New York Times Metropolitan Section). Her work is on exhibit in NYC and NJ. She received a grant from the Puffin Foundation for her puppet show, “The Miracle on Monroe Street,” which she performed at the New York Fringe Festival.
Scott Massarsky is a song writer, musician, and artist who studied fine arts at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan with a focus on painting, print-making and art therapy. He has shown his work in the New York City/New Jersey area including exhibits curated by Tim Rollins and Gunars Prande in SoHo, and has received grants from the Puffin Foundation for both visual arts and songwriting. He has taught in many settings, including classroom, cultural center, elder care facilities, hospitals, and museums.
